Rear terrace with garden furniture. Good beaches nearby. The apartment is available all year and has heating for winter rentals.

Immediate area: Blue Bay is on the coast near the village of Bahceli about 20 minutes drive from Kyrenia. The area is ideal for swimming, sailing, walking, bird watching, and horse riding. There is a championship golf course about 15 minutes to the West. To the east you will find wonderful sandy beaches – some of the best in the Mediterranean, e.g. Karpas beach – and traditional North Cyprus villages. Lara beach, with sunbeds, shades and a small café, is 15 minutes drive West. Alagadi, a Turtle Watch beach, is 15 minutes from Blue Bay. Acapulco, a hotel complex with all facilities including an aqua park, bars and restaurants, is about 20 mins away.

Further afield: Kyrenia is excellent for shopping for local crafts (e.g. Turkish delight and kilims) and there are lovely restaurants around the old harbour, specializing in seafood. There are many museums and castles in the area, - including an imposing castle and shipwreck museum on the harbour in Kyrenia and the beautiful Bellapais Abbey on the hill above Kyrenia with spectacular views of the coast. There are several excellent restaurants in Bellapais village, all with panoramic views. Kantara castle is a crusader fortress built into the hilltop in a stunning location with wonderful views across the island. Also worth a visit are: Famagusta (Gazimagusa) to see the Roman City of Salamis; Nicosia (Lefkosa) to see the beautiful Selimiye Mosque, and The Great Turkish Bath which dates back to the Ottoman period or walk the old streets and browse around the local craft shops.

Restaurants/shops: Nearby Bahceli is a very traditional village, with a small shop. Esentepe village, approximately 8 minutes drive away, has good restaurants with excellent food at very reasonable prices. There are other restaurants a short drive away. Emily's Bar is on site and serves good local food. There are good supermarkets close by and hypermarkets near Kyrenia. One of our favourite places to eat is the harbourside at Kyrenia - described in the guide books as "one of the most picturesque harbours in the Mediterranean". There are many restaurants here, most specialising in fish.
Most people speak English, driving is on the left, electric sockets are the same as England. You can even pay in sterling in many outlets.
