Description
Our cottage is warm and cosy with well equipped kitchen, wi-fi, and use of laundry facilities. It is only 0.5 mile from the village but are in a quiet location with stunning views and wildlife.
The cottage is in a great location to visit the Cairngorm National Park, or further afield to Loch Lomond or Fort William. Newtonmore is a traditional highland village with a long and colourful history: visitors can learn more at the Highland folk museum or Clan Macpherson museums located in the village. There is also an annual highland games and clan gathering in August as well as weekly shinty matches.
Local restaurants serve good local produce to satisfy your appetite after a day spent hillwalking, mountain biking or skiing.
The Cairngorms National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty, world renowned for the wild, rugged landscape and home to many native species of birds and wildlife including the elusive Scottish wildcat. Red squirrels, pine martin, deer, hare and badgers are also found locally.
It is also an adventure paradise, where you can do outdoor pursuits including walking, biking, skiing, rock climbing, gliding, white water rafting, sailing, canoeing, canyoning, golf, fishing, dogsledding, quad biking and more.
Cottage comes equipped with cooking equipment, heating, shower room, TV, wi-fi, beds and bedding. Double bed in bedroom; additional single futon bed in living area. Pets are allowed and all bedding, towels, electricity and use of washing and drying room are included in the price.
The owners enjoy outdoor pursuits such as cycling and skiing and are happy to advise on suitable routes. There is also the chance to take an introductory class in fused glass making or to buy fused glass gift items on the premises.
