Description
Our modern high ceiling apartment on the ground floor of our villa has its own private garden entrance and secluded patio area, with views to Benitachell village and the mountains beyond. We are a quiet country location central to shops, beaches and restaurants at Moraira and Javea just 10 minutes away. The beautiful Jalon Valley is only 20 minutes away, famous for the almond blossom in spring, restaurants, bodegas and the Saturday rastro market. The Iris Gardens, open in April, a must visit if you like gardens.
Private outside dining and seating area with table,chairs and sun loungers. The 10m x 5m swimming pool is private to the villa. It is only used by John & Julie and their guests in the apartment and there are also sun loungers for use around the pool. There is a full size Boule Court and BBQ all provided for your comfort and convenience. Javea and Moraira, 10 minutes away offer sandy beaches, promenades with many restaurants to choose from, water sports and marinas. For the less experienced swimmers and a favourite for small children, El Portet beach in Moraira is ideal with its small sandy beach and shallow calm waters. Benitachell beach is a stony cove at the base of the cliffs, a recommended part of the coast for scuba diving, with good parking area and beach bars in the summer months.
The Benitachell village, only a 30 minute walk away, is very traditional Spanish. They have many fiestas though the year including the Moors and Christians. The spectacular firework displays are best seen from the apartment.
There is a new air conditioned shopping centre at Ondarra, 20 minutes by car, there is a multi screen, multi language cinema, a bowling alley, shops and restaurants. There is also a cinema at Javea showing English language films on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Many restaurants in the area are still offering 3 course menus, some including wine, for under 10 euros per head. We are happy to give you our recommendations.
